Mon, 6 October 2008 ![]() Summer is gone and we're in the twilight of a terrible situation. In this show we feature Holier Than Seattle compilation on Heat Blast Records but kick-off the set with a RAC Remix of "Be Good" by Tokyo Police Club, "Second Hand-Smoke by the Moist Boyz 7", a DJ Shadow instrumental hip-hop mix. I am not sure exactly when the Heat Blast compilation came out exactly but I think it was early 91 or so. The A side has Freak Theatre featuring Tommy Southern on guitar followed with 'Give an Inch' then 'Save' by Glueneck. The B side has Big Nurse with 'Love you tomorrow' and the grand finale with 'Fuck Sharp' by Nudeswirl. This 7" ep was one of those pieces of wax that brought a scene together in a lot of ways but unfortunately did not take off as it should have but it did produce Monster Magnet, got Nude Swirl on Beavis and Butthead and all sorts of mini-success stories. Set three goes accross the pond with The Young Knifes, 'The Crunge' by Zeppelin, 'Waving Flags' by British Sea Power, and finish off with Oasis. Back in the usa Idaho does 'The thick and thin', from Film Cool Hand Luke Paul Newman(RIP) does 'Plastic Jesus'. Last cut 'Colder' by Throwing Muses off their record House Tornado. Plus some other nuggets. Enjoy. Comments[0] |
