The Podcasts

Ah, the lovely stains, clicks and gnaws of that glorious vinyl sound show up on this show for your audile file listening pleasure. We dug deep in the archives to bring you some of these tracks because we wanted to show-up last year's show and NOT do any repeaters, as it were, and I think we were able to stalk pile for next years Valentine's show. Who knows, the  parameters are pretty wide but we kick it with a new track by Bloc Party, "Vision of Heaven", "He's a whore" by Big Black, "Baudelaire" by ...Trail of Dead, "Torture day" by Notwist, The Police bring it retro style from their seminal album Ghost in the Machine album with "Every little thing she does is magic" (I love the bass and steel drums on this song),  Husker Du pack take the broken up acoustic ballad with "never talking to you again" off of Zen Arcade, the Supersucker's hippie killer tune, " Shes' my bitch" from La Mano Cornuda, b/w "Beat your heart out" by The Muffs, followed by "You're the one I want" by Jets to Brazil. Mule cover "To love somebody" by the Bee Gees off a quarter stick 7", Ween do "She Fucks me", followed by Jersey's Nude Swirl w/ "Fuck Sharp" off the Holier than Seattle Heat Blast 45 compilation, followed by a new Deerhoof track called appropriately "Matchbook Seeks Maniac" and to close the set, with a song about self love; a 45 @ 33 speed, The Vapors classic "I think I'm turning Japanese". Any questions?
